This key determines whether the LVHDSR driver operates in VHD format or raw LV mode. Removing it causes the driver to fall back to raw LV mode on the next PBD plug cycle. VHD-format VDIs accessed in raw mode produce garbage data, and raw-mode writes corrupt VHD metadata structures, resulting in unrecoverable data loss for every VDI on the affected SR."
